RECORDING CREW MANAGER
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Valid Class 5 drivers license.
- Valid Standard First Aid.
- Polaris WHMIS awareness certificate of training.
- H2S awareness certificate of training.
- ATV certificate of training.
- Working knowledge of computers (MS Office preferable).
- Strong technical background in oil and gas operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for applicable jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of risk management/case management techniques.
- Emergency Response experience; and coordination of same.
- Group Problem Solving, Decision Making and Investigative techniques.
- Strong communication skills with respect to managing and leading a seismic recording program.
JOB SUMMARY
The Recording Crew Manager will lead the Polaris Field Crew with direct reporting to the
V.P. of Operations. The Recording Crew Manager is responsible for field operations and
conduct of all personnel and equipment assigned to his/her crew. S/he must understand the
program objectives as directed by his/her immediate supervisor and execute these objectives
in a safe and cost efficient manner.
This position provides technical and orientation assistance to
all field personnel. This person works as a coach and mentor to the recording crew employee and
contractors under their direct supervision in support of the on-going development of the recording
crew team and general safety practices as outlined in the Polaris Corporate Manual, and as required
by federal and provincial regulations.
The Recording Crew Manager is expected to identify and bring
forward issues that may affect the health & safety of Employee-Partners, contractors and/or the community
in which we operate. The Recording Crew manager is a person who instructs, directs, and stewards workers
in the performance of their duties.
